Die Cathedral
3 Rue Notre Dame, 26150 Die, France
Die Cathedral is a catholic cathedral located in Département de la Drôme.
A beautiful church, largely dating from the 17th century, rebuilt on medieval foundations from the 12th to 15th centuries. Well worth a visit. A few reused stones hint at the earlier existence of some significant Roman buildings.
This is a very simple, unadorned cathedral with few stained-glass windows and little grandeur. Its distinctive feature is the position of the bell tower at the entrance and the passageway leading from the square to a street just behind it. Worth seeing if you're visiting Die.
A beautiful piece of history in the heart of Die. The decor is simple but beautiful. The acoustics are superb.
