Magnificent abbey, a lot of effort has gone into preserving the place, especially the cloister paintings, which have deteriorated over time. There are plenty of explanations about the history of the place and the surrounding area. If you happen to be passing by, it's a must-see.

Abondance Abbey offers an interesting visit. A beautiful cloister with rare frescoes in varying degrees of preservation. Good explanations of the methods used to paint and restore them. Moderately priced admission.
