I have wanted to visit this church several times, because there is still a memento of my grandmother inside the church, but it is always closed. It would of course be nice if someone could help me with some information about this.

The St. John the Baptist Church is the parish church of Houthulst, located on the Market Square. It is a Neo-Gothic church built to a design by Pierre Buyck. The church was completely destroyed during the First World War and rebuilt from 1920 to 1923 according to a design by Jozef Viérin.
