A short visit to find some peace and quiet is a must.

The church was built in the 13th century as a Romanesque church, redesigned in the 14th and 15th centuries, and expanded into a five-aisled basilica, the only one in Austria. The church was rebuilt again in the Baroque period before its original Gothic appearance was largely restored in 1967.
