The church is visible from afar, as it stands at an altitude of almost 1000 meters. Behind it rises the Wachtstein, a rock formation made of enormous granite blocks. The church's wooden ceiling, built in a distinctive style, is particularly impressive. The influence of the former parish priest and artist Josef Elter is ever-present.
