The church is beautifully nestled in the lovely little village with a beautiful altar...and around the village are several beautifully maintained shrines...and there are some very nice hiking trails here...

A very beautiful fortified church. We had a guided tour led by the very friendly pastor, who climbed with us up to the bells in the fortified tower and gave us a great deal of information about the church and Lichtenegg. The fortified church route in the Bucklingen Welt region is definitely worth a visit...
