Die wunderschöne Kathedrale wurde auf den Ruinen antiker heidnischer Tempel erbaut und ist im halbgotischen Stil gehalten. Am Vorabend des Festes Mariä Himmelfahrt findet hier eine interessante Prozession statt, bei der die Madonnenstatue von 60 Trägern auf einer 16 Meter hohen, 3.000 Kilogramm schweren Profimaschine getragen wird!
